Under the Nine Suns - Opredian Accademy

The Opredian Academy of one of several elite centers of learning located in the
Vaustian Republic. The Opredian Academy teaches many subjects, but focuses on the arcane art of Helice-Forging.

The academy prides itself on the accomplishments of its graduates. Many consider the school's most noteworthy success to be the invention of the Vocatious Sender, a device that allows for long distance communication. The Opredian Academy holds the secret of making Vocatious Senders close, producing and selling copies of the device to help fund the school. The academy is governed by a body of nine preceptors, including Naldeen Drogan and Trevin Vocati before his death. Rivalries and grudges run deep amongst the different preceptors, resulting in frequent power struggles over resources for experiments, credit for discoveries and promising students.
