Under the Nine Suns - Naldeen Drogan

Naldeen Drogan is one of nine preceptors who form the controlling body of the
Opredian Academy. In his middle years, Drogan has a dignified appearance with
gray streaking his light brown hair. Drogan considers himself to have good taste in fashion and prefers expensive clothes.

Drogan is an expert Helice-Forger, a fact even his enemies grudgingly have to admit. Drogan was the long time apprentice of Trevin Vocati. During his apprenticeship, Drogan assisted Vocati in the production of his most famous invention, the Vocatious Sender. After Vocati's death Drogan continued work on the Sender and made several significant improvements.

While Drogan has made several noteworthy additions to Helice-Forging, most of his work has involved making improvements to existing Helices and forging techniques. He is frustrated that he has no major invention to call his own.

Drogan's many accomplishments are tainted by accusations of extortion, blackmail and bribery allegedly used to undermine potential rivals. So far he has managed to avoid any criminal charges, however his draconian methods have earned him dangerous enemies.
